There was a guy at my church who liked a girl. He wanted to wait for her to be a little older before he told her. But while he was waiting some other guy went and asked the girl's Dad for a courtship, he said yes and she started going with him. He was than morally obligated to leave them alone and as far as I know he never told her.
That said I know he's not your boyfriend that is why we'll let him in our fraturnity. But when you tell him than he will have to make a choice, us or you. If he picks you than we will be really hurt and you will no longer be our friend (thus proving Jeff's point).
