The Forgettable.
I have come to the conclusion that I am not special. Heaven knows I'm "special" in the mental asylum kind of way, but I have realized that I am not a great asset to planet Earth. What a pity....
Don't think I'm saying this to get compliments from the oh-so-nice people reading this. I'm not.

I don't think anyone really knows what kind of difference they have made on earth until they get to heaven.
Who you are is defined mainly by how God sees you, than by how others see you, and last by how you see yourself.
1. Jesus died for you and called you as one of his elect. He could of picked many other people to call but he thought you were special enough to pick you.
2. Other people love to be around you. I had a blast hanging out with you at campout and one of the reasons I look forward to next year is so I can do it again. You have really awesome friends who I bet would give their life for you.
3. One never really sees themself the way they really are. Our goal is to see ourselves the way that Jesus sees us.
Look Emily, why do you think I (some guy who lives far away in another state) take the time to read a blog about someone I only see once, maybe twice a year?
Well I'm not sure why someone would publicly post a blog like this if he or she didn't want people to read it and say something.. Even if you didn't want them, true friends like giving compliments regardless.
Isn't it strange how our friends often think much higher of us (us used generally) even if we seem to find something wrong with ourselves.
Caleb, I have to say that your comment is very touching and sweet...but point #1 just isn't biblically true. "He could of picked many other people to call but he thought you were special enough to pick you." No person has ANYTHING good in them that makes Jesus call them. It is completely of grace, every time.
A blog is short for weblog. A weblog is supposed to be a log. I like to log what I feel. Therefore my post was sent out into the wild wild world of the net. Maybe I should delete it.
Ahh it is true. Are you saying that God is completely random for who he picks? God says that he makes from the same lump of clay some vessels for destruction and some for glory.
The ones HE PICKED are the ones for glory and that makes them special.
I didn't say you did anything to make him pick you, but you are pretty special because he did.
Anyway maybe I didn't portray it the right way, idk...
Haha haven't heard Weblog for a long time... That is the origin of the blog, though a blog and weblog have become quite different.
anyone as nice, talented and funny as yoiu are is pretty damn special. Be positive, Emily.
Em remember that not being satisfied with yourself and the "specialness" of yourself really breaks down to selfishness if your not careful. No one of us is more special than another, we are all equal in standing. God doesn't play favorites, and we shouldn't either. Stop beating yourself up and remember that you are a great asset to the earth as long as you continue to share the gospel with as many people as possible.
The world's idea of special means nothing in the grand scheme of things. idk know if any of this makes sense but we'll see...
We all love you em just for the quirky, kinda crazy, fun, best friend that you are. (well at least to me lol)
EMILY!!! What are you talking about!? Yer 'about me' thing confuses/worries/alarms me.. But at the same time, that's a nice goal to have in one way at least, but maybe yer thinking about it differently than I am. Ehhh, well, maybe it's not for me to know. Anyway, see you Sunday?
Oh, and yea, what doodoo heads those two horsies are fer jackin Charlie's goods ><

"Oh, and yea, what doodoo heads those two horsies are fer jackin Charlie's goods ><"
Huh??? what does this mean??
I'd rather keep my ear clear!
Emily,
:) First of all, thanks for your comment on my post (Nike Formula Blog).. I'm a deaf minister now working as a deaf evangelist in the state of Kansas.
I'm trying to remember which book Leonard Sweet wrote about us being either "normal" and "un-normal". It's in either "Soul Tsunami" or "Jesus Drives Me Crazy!".. You can check out his books. Leonard was one of the speakers at the Zoe conference 2 or 3 years ago and talked about "Normal".. I believe, if I remember right, that people living in the world are "normal beings" and that those who separated themselves from the world are "not normal". The world looks for people in their own norms. If they see Christians, they either scratch their heads or twinge at the sight of it! Sad!
Anyways, we, Christians, are very "un-normal" in ways that's awesome before the sight of God! :)
So this is my 2-cents! :)
